WEIGH IN TODAY:
FIX WORKER MISCLASSIFICATION!
Misclassification of employees as "independent contractors" is used by employers to avoid responsibility for paying their workers fair wages and benefits, and to avoid paying their fair share of taxes.

The Trump administration tried to change federal labor law to make it easier to misclassify workers, to take effect in March 2021. But now the Biden administration stopped it and is planning to issue their own standard.
The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) has issued new independent contractor guidance and they want to know what we think. DOL needs lots of comments to help make its case! Send yours in NOW!

TIPS:
Personalize your message. Let DOL officials know who you are, where you're from, and why you are concerned.
Be polite. Officials will be much more impressed with a reasoned message than a rude one.
Don't worry if you're not an expert on details... It's important that they hear from your perspective as an individual worker or taxpayer.
